The Michigan Wireless Association was formed to provide an official forum for the cultivation of relationships and exchange of ideas between wireless telecommunications professionals, government officials and the public, and to create a platform for a unified voice among the wireless industry. The Michigan Wireless Association joins the current team of 38 state associations and is directly supported by the PCIA. Beyond all of that, we are dedicated to serving the people of Michigan through: education, information, networking and giving back.
As we “fall back” our clocks this weekend, I am reminded that the wireless industry “springs forward” the entire year. No resting on our laurels for either our membership or the MWA itself. Here’s hoping that our membership and our industry have a great 4th quarter and key objectives are met.
As we fly toward year end, there are a few items that I would like to note. First, our new and improved website is up and running and the MWA Board is working to provide content updates on a real time basis. I would strongly encourage all to use the website as a source of information, including upcoming events and news items important to our MWA members. I would also ask our members to submit items for the website that they think are valuable and should be of interest to our membership. Second, our 2014 golf outing was again a rousing success and our thanks once again go out to our volunteers and sponsors who make this such a fun event. As a result of those efforts, our targeted charity for 2014, Child and Family Services of Michigan, just received a $15,000 check to support their very worthy efforts. Third, I would remind everyone that December 4th is our Holiday party – admission is free — but as we did last year, we will pass the hat for a selected charity. Lastly, the MWA is seeking annual sponsors for 2015. Please check the website for details.
As we wrap up this year, let’s not forget our friends and family who support us during the year. Let’s all vow in 2015 to stop occasionally, take a deep breath, remember what is truly important in our lives and commit to those in our family, our community and our nation.
Happy Holidays to all
